Smart indoor air quality + auto ventilation system
ArduinoSolidWorksMotor ControlSensor Fusion
A lot of people spend a lot of time indoors with poor ventilation, especially in air-conditioned rooms. Instead of relying on manual actions like opening windows, I wanted to design a system that could automatically maintain a healthier environment.
PROJECT SPECOCTO
OBJECTIVE
Primarily to develop a system that monitors air quality and automatically improves it without user intervention. Practical design for home use.CONSTRAINT
Data monitoring relies on stable internet. Low-cost sensors can drift over time and have low sensitivity.TRADE-OFF
Chose ESP32 Dev board as it is selected for built-in WiFiOUTCOME
The system successfully monitored CO₂, temperature, and humidity in real time. Showed stable operation over extended periods.BUDGET
Planned: $850Actual: $750✓ Under budget
